Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former that emerged with the win. Though many thought Gustafsson might’ve had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close now speaks to how well he cried in the first assembly, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Nevertheless, Jones, who has not fought in 17 months, has largely dominated everybody he has come across from the Octagon. This battle should take more gas than he’s used to consuming up, but he should still pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
